Welcome to Columbia Student Ministry

We’re passionate about creating a space where students (and their families) from 7th through 12th grade, and through college, can grow in faith, and experience the love of Christ. We offer groups led by caring adult leaders to help students discover their real identities in Christ through fun and meaningful activities. From EDGE Sunday night gatherings to retreats, mission trips, and service opportunities, we are all about forming lasting friendships, encouraging spiritual growth, and building a foundation for Jesus-centered lives.

Columbia Students on Sundays

Serve

We believe serving is discipleship; which is why students serve in our various church ministries during one hour on Sunday mornings and attend worship during the other. By serving, students get to experience what it means to be an active member of the body of Christ, and they do it in fun ways like serving on the welcome team, running worship tech, rehearsing for student band, and teaching children!

EDGE

Our students gather ever Sunday night at EDGE, (Energized Discipleship and God Encounters). Here, 7th-12th graders worship together, play games, experience age-targeted teaching and participate in small groups. EDGE is a place where students can experience belonging and encounter the transforming love of Christ.

SLEDGE

Student-Led EDGE (aka SLEDGE) is where students lead EVERYTHING. We are so proud of our students’ boldness to use their God-given talents and time to preach, lead small groups and games and plan content for the whole evening. Basically, EVERYTHING!

COLLEGE/Emerging adults

We are creating a small group just for college students and 18 to 23 year-old young adults. Whether you’re in school, working, figuring it out, or just home during college breaks, there is a community ready to help you grow in your faith and build friendships as you emerge into adulthood.

Columbia’s Student Ministry believes that the Gospel is the most important thing for students to understand. This is why the message of Christ is central to everything we do, and we want to help YOU know Jesus!
