Mutual Affection and Love

Love – the greatest of all the virtues and the unifier of all virtues – involves the capacity to cherish God for God’s sake, to cherish others for God’s sake , to cherish oneself for God’s sake, and to work for God’s kingdom to come. Paul lists it after lesser “brotherly love,” because the church is the training ground for selfless love.
