Follow Jesus,

With People

No one is meant to walk alone in their faith journey. Groups provide a warm and welcoming space to build meaningful connections with a small, caring community. Together, we’ll encourage one another, grow in faith, and deepen our connection to the broader church family. Try out a group now.

Current Sermon Series:

This Present Darkness

A number of theologians and others through the years have suggested that the Devil’s greatest ruse is to induce humans to believe that he does not exist. If this is true, then Satan should be credited with some success in our day, because we seem to have forgotten that our true struggles in this dark world are not against flesh and blood, but against “the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” (Ephesians 6:12 NIV) Since the Bible makes clear that an “adversary” is seeking to thwart God’s work and devour God’s people, perhaps it is time we recognized “the evil one,” stopped giving him so many opportunities, and resisted his deception.

We’re Having

  • Navigating the current culture in these political days

Columbia is a place where we are motivated to grow in our faith.

  • Some Early Columbia History

When seven Christians united to form Columbia Baptist Church in 1856, little could they know how their Biblical justice values of abolishing slavery and ministering to those in need would affect the community.

  • Ultra Processed – is Gambling

Gambling’s inherent nature opposes the principle of loving one’s neighbor.

  • Finding Your Real ID: Embracing Purpose Over Power

Life in the DC Metro area often feels like a high-stakes game of “Deal or No Deal,” where choices about career, relationships, and identity constantly demand our attention. But what if the best “deal” isn’t about gaining more influence or power, but embracing your true identity?

Child Development Center

Columbia’s Child Development Center, (CDC) has been serving children and families in the community since 1969. We embrace a joyful, developmentally appropriate approach to early childhood education and care that is rooted in our belief that every child is wonderfully made to learn through creating, exploring, questioning, and in relationships with friends and respectful adults.
